Meet Alia – The Inspiration Behind Yashy Menopause Health
Alia’s journey to wellness inspired Yashy Nutrition—empowering women to thrive through menopause.
When menopause hit me, it brought me to my knees—anxiety, memory lapses, hot flashes, and a sudden loss of my previously irrepressible confidence.
The symptoms seemed to appear out of nowhere. At first, it was the anxiety and irritation, then came the memory lapses. The confident, self-assured woman I had always been was slipping away. Relationships at home grew strained. Suddenly, the lively, fun-filled house I shared with my husband and two teenage boys became a tense environment. They were confused by the sudden change in me, and without knowing how to help, they withdrew, leaving me feeling even more isolated.
At work, the pressure was mounting. I had always thrived in my career, but now I was struggling. Anxiety and memory lapses led to embarrassing moments in meetings. Hot flashes made travel—once a beloved part of my job—an ordeal. For the first time, I felt like I was losing control of my career and life. I was 41—far too young for menopause, or so I thought.
It wasn’t until six months into this mental and physical collapse that I began to wonder if what I was experiencing was menopause. I finally sat down with my mom to discuss it. To my surprise, she had experienced early menopause too. It was a difficult topic we had never discussed. As soon as I left her house, I called my three younger sisters to give them a heads-up—they needed to be prepared in case they, too, faced an early onset of menopause.
With the weight of my symptoms and the realization of what I was facing, I set out on a mission to find help and solutions.
The medical options I came across were overwhelming. Should I embrace or reject hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? The choice between easing my symptoms and worrying about increased cancer risks felt impossible. Even the professionals couldn’t give me clear answers. I decided to wait, but as time went on, my symptoms only worsened.
Then, a lifesaving moment: I discovered Facebook support groups for women going through menopause. These groups were filled with thousands of women just like me—feeling lost, confused, and desperate for answers. The sense of relief was instant. Finally, I wasn’t alone.
I found comfort in the friendships I made in these groups. Women shared tips, offered support, and provided much-needed advice. It was like a lifeline—an online sisterhood of women supporting each other through the ups and downs of menopause. We laughed, we cried, and most importantly, we shared. I started welcoming new members and encouraging them with a simple message: *"We’ve got you!"*
But I knew I needed more than just online support. Finding an excellent menopause consultant became my next mission. Despite one-third of the female population being menopausal at any given time, finding proper medical support was incredibly challenging. After many appointments with local doctors and some helpful connections through my job’s private medical insurance, I found a menopause consultant in London who changed my life.
This expert helped me understand menopause on a deeper level, suggesting a tailored medical program that included not just medications, but also a nutritionist-recommended diet, supplements, and exercise. This was when I learned the power of certain vitamins and how critical they can be during menopause.

Key Vitamins for Menopause Support
Through my menopause journey, I discovered the vital role that vitamins play in managing menopause symptoms and supporting overall well-being:
-
Vitamin D: Essential for bone health, it helps to counteract the increased risk of osteoporosis during menopause. It also plays a role in boosting mood and reducing fatigue.
-
Vitamin B6: Known for its ability to improve mood and reduce irritability, this vitamin helps regulate hormone balance and supports energy levels.
-
Vitamin E: Often referred to as the "skin vitamin," Vitamin E helps combat dry skin and supports heart health, both of which are common concerns for women in menopause.
- Vitamin B12: This vitamin is critical for energy production and mental clarity, helping to reduce brain fog and fatigue, two major symptoms I struggled with.
These vitamins, combined with other key nutrients, became the foundation of my wellness plan. And as the weeks went by, I could feel the benefits—less anxiety, more energy, better skin, and, slowly but surely, the return of my confidence.
The interventions were a game-changer. Gradually, my symptoms began to ease, my anxiety subsided, and slowly but surely, my confidence returned. I started feeling like myself again—the vibrant, energetic woman I once was.
As I regained control of my life, the first people to hear about my progress were my friends from the Facebook menopause group. They had been my lifeline, and now I was eager to share the knowledge I had gained on this journey.
But something else happened along the way. I realized that I wasn’t just finding solutions for myself—I was uncovering something much bigger. I wanted to make the benefits of the nutritional support I had found accessible to every woman facing menopause. And that’s how Yashy Menopause Nutrition was born.
